WHAT IS KAIROS?

KAIROS is where leaders connect, converse and cultivate effective strategies for bringing equity and justice to scale through conscious capitalism. Our goal is to seize economic opportunities long overdue for Black and Brown communities, igniting a transformation toward a more equitable and inclusive world.

Through both coordinated events and less-structured virtual conversations, KAIROS participants regularly share best practices for achieving equity-focused goals, celebrate one another’s accomplishments and challenge one another to continue uplifting communities and leaders systematically excluded by capitalism.

Our signature annual event, “Convening for the Culture,” provides an opportunity for leaders of color to gather during one of the Black community’s most prominent weeks of leadership activation each year. About 200 of the nation’s leaders and changemakers of color and their allies attend the four-day event on Martha’s Vineyard focused on relationship building, ideation, deal flow and partnership development.

KAI·ROS (noun)

Kairos, from the Ancient Greek, means opportunities to create moments at a time when conditions are right for the accomplishments of a crucial action.
